About the role
SFL Missions builds low-cost, high-performance small satellites on space-proven platforms. We're looking for a Satellite Systems Engineer to lead mission and spacecraft-level engineering across our growing portfolio of Earth observation, communications, and scientific missions.
What you'll do:
- Define mission and system requirements and flow them down to subsystems
- Lead trade studies across power, thermal, structures, ADCS, comms, and payload
- Drive integration, test, and verification campaigns toward launch
- Support launch readiness and early-orbit operations
What we're looking for:
- Degree in aerospace, electrical, or mechanical engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience with spacecraft systems engineering or a closely related field
- Strong analytical skills and comfort owning ambiguity end-to-end
- Eligibility to work on export-controlled programs in Canada
Why SFL: we've delivered dozens of operationally successful missions with hundreds of cumulative years in orbit. You'll work hands-on, ship real hardware, and see your work reach space on a short cadence.
