About the role

We're hiring an ADCS Engineer to develop attitude determination and control for our nano- and microsatellite platforms. SFL's spacecraft achieve agile, high-accuracy pointing on small buses — this role is central to that capability.

What you'll do:
- Model spacecraft dynamics and design attitude control algorithms
- Select and characterize sensors (sun sensors, magnetometers, star trackers) and actuators (reaction wheels, magnetorquers)
- Run closed-loop simulations and support hardware-in-the-loop testing
- Tune controllers and support on-orbit commissioning

What we're looking for:
- Strong background in control theory, dynamics, and estimation (e.g. Kalman filtering)
- Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and/or Python
- Spacecraft, robotics, or aerospace GNC experience an asset
- Eligibility to work on export-controlled programs in Canada
